About Sophwick Tuition: online GCSE and KS3 tutors
We are here to help each student do their best work, with clear teaching, a solid structure and high expectations. In practice that means growing their confidence, getting the core ideas properly secure, and making exam-style questions feel familiar, week after week.
Experienced GCSE tutors, teaching at both Higher and Foundation tier. Lessons are calm and well organised, and built to raise confidence and exam performance together.
- 156 achieved Grade 9
- 188 achieved Grade 8
Many of them joined us with only weeks to go before their exams. Starting late did not mean starting too late.
123/123 students passed, using a confidence-first approach and strong fundamentals.
Results vary by individual. Outcomes depend on attendance, effort, homework completion and exam conditions. No grades are guaranteed.
Good results grow from good habits: turning up every week, understanding clearly and aiming high. Lessons stay calm and focused, and progress builds steadily through a planned sequence and practised exam technique.
- Understanding before memory: the idea makes sense before it is learned by heart
- A clear route: topics in a planned order, with targets each week
- Exam practice: past papers and technique, week in, week out
- Confidence: a calm pace, small successes and gentle accountability
Our focus is GCSE and KS3 Maths, English and Science. We can sometimes help with other GCSEs, depending on what is needed and whether a tutor is free.
We may be able to help with other GCSE subjects. Book a short assessment call and we will tell you whether it is a good fit and whether a tutor is free.
How lessons come together
The same simple pattern every time: we assess, we plan, then we teach and track progress.
We begin with a free 15-minute call to find out where your child is now: their current level, confidence, exam technique and the grade they are aiming for. That shows us the quickest way forward, and we confirm the rate on the call.
Your child gets a structured plan: weekly targets, topics taken in a sensible order, and regular exam-style practice.
Lessons are one-to-one and online, within our teaching window of 09:00–21:00 UK time (Europe/London), seven days a week. Your child is paired with a single tutor from our team, and that tutor teaches every lesson.
We review progress regularly, give clear feedback, and keep parents and students openly informed along the way.
Book a free 15-minute assessment call, and we will suggest the route that suits your child best, given their level, target grade and the time they have.
